In the presence of His Eminence Archbishop Demetrios, Primate of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America and Rabbi Martin R. Cohen, Professor of Jewish History at the Hebrew Union College and Spiritual Leader of the American Friends of the Jewish Museum of Greece, Consul General of Greece in New York Hon. Georgios Iliopoulos hosted the “Holocaust Remembrance Day of the Greek Jewry”, on Wednesday February 5, 2014 at 6:30 pm, at the Greek Press and Communication Office in New York. The event featured a presentation of the recorded Speech of the Prime Minister of Greece Antonis Samaras at the International Holocaust Remembrance Day Ceremony at the European Parliament on January 17, 2014, and a musical interlude by a New York City born International vocalist and recording artist Lina Orfanos and an internationally known guitarist and recording artist Spiros Exaras.
